(scroll down for a mini-preview)

The auction is one of the guild's major fundraisers during the year.  The items that are sold are donated by the members, and are grouped into the live auction, silent auction, or Chinese auction; the boutique; or they are placed on the book and pattern tables.  We will be collecting donations at the June and July guild meeting.   The Point of Contact is 4th VP, Nancy P.

For a printable Auction Donation Form, click here.  The information on the form is used to put together the list of items that will be auctioned off at the guild meeting.  Or, click here to send an email to Nancy with a description of your items.  Remember:  donations to the auction are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.

Volunteers are needed to organize auction items and to help on the night of the auction.  If you wish to volunteer, please contact Nancy or email her at auction@lakeviewquiltersguild.org

Auction Items

First of all... Remember all those auction lottery blocks that Marsha F. and Sue G. have been collecting at our monthly meetings?  Sets of them will be auctioned off at our August meeting.  It's the fastest way to get a bunch of blocks for your next quilt!   You'll be able to bid on Double X blocks, Cowboy Boot blocks, Devil's Claw blocks, and more.

This quilt will be hard to resist.  The photo does not do it justice -- The piecing is set off with a ton of both feathers and pebbles -- all of which are surrounded by a wide border quilted with a flowing vine of feathers.  This is the perfect quilt to curl up under on a chilly evening!

Here's a wonderful quilt from the
guild's Friendship Bee -- the colors are bright and the pattern is very unusual.  This one will go fast in the bidding, so be ready to jump on it!

Now here is a machine that you will have a hard time not bidding on:  the Bernette Deco 600 embroidery machine.  Included in the bid package is the machine, 3 hoops, 13 design cards worth at least $50 - $90 each, instructions, extra bobbins and bobbin thread, 50 built in patterns.  Go for it!

This little snowflake will be bound before the auction begins -- just in time to melt your heart...

Here is a Bernina embroidery module for the Aurora 430 or 440 machine.  Yes - you can use it to make name tags, labels, and all manner of unique creations!  This bid package includes the complete set-up to use your 430 or 440 as an embroidery machine: software, case, instruction manuals, and cables.  It has only been used about a dozen times - but you can use it a thousand times!

Love the sea?  Then bid on these circling dolphins wall hanging (27 by 27").

Here is a stunning string quilt -- this 46 by 63 inch quilt will add color and zest to any room!

Bring the sun into any room - day or night - with this tropical floral star wall hanging.  It's just shy of a yard square in size...  perfect for a wall somewhere in your home, right?!!

Do you have a child or grandchild that needs a delightful quilt?  Or maybe the child within YOU needs this quilt to wrap around yourself on a dark and dreary night!  Make the high bid on this one and you can take it home with you!

Can't figure out where to display some of your quilts?  Here's a great way:  a quilt ladder.  With its natural wood color, you can put it in any room.  At 2 feet wide and 7.7 feet tall, it will fit in any room, and it has 5 rungs for displaying all of the quilts you buy at this auction.  Do it!

Woo hoo!  Look at this beauty!  Your guild board made these blocks and Denise added her spectacular quilting.  It will be hard to let this one go to anyone but you!

Do you need a light-weight portable sewing machine to take to guild retreats and sewing groups?  Just make the high bid on this Janome Jem Gold sewing machine and it's yours; it's awesome!

Who wouldn't love this delightfully wacky quilt ("Bright Stars") to brighten up a wall?  Or to nap under with a cheshire cat grin?  Set aside your money and bid on it at the auction and you can take it home that night!  The quilt was donated by our guild's First Monday Bee.  Feel free to join that bee on the first Monday of each month; they meet in the large classroom at Sew Contempo from 9:30 until noon.

How many of you own a vintage hand-pieced quilt?  Bid on this beauty and you can have your own.  Take it home, quilt it, bind it, and then you can sleep under it in grand comfort.

Here's a wonderful selvage rag rug -- we bet that  you already know the perfect place in your home for this gem.

Take home a portable design wall - and use it to help you finish off those collections of blocks that are stashed in your closet!

Bid on this donated "quilting diva starter kit" and awaken the diva in you with a wonderful feather boa, patterns, pins, fabric, notions... and plenty more!

"Patriotic Stars" is a lovely lap quilt that was donated by the Que Bee.  It would make a wonderful wall hanging in your home, or a gift for someone special.

Que Bee is another great bee that you can join any time -- they meet in the kitchen at St. Paul Catholic Church from 10:00 until 2:00 on the second Thursday of each month; members bring binding, applique, basting, embroidery, and any other hand work they choose to work on.  Or they just come and talk and share in congenial friendships!

Now who can resist this Oak Leaf and Cherries quilt, hand appliqued by members of the LQG Que Bee?  It measures 75 x 94 inches and is machine quilted with fabulous feathers and cross hatching.  Don't let this one slip away - the bidding will  likely be fierce... but whoever takes this beauty home is going to be thrilled with their new quilt.

Save your money for another great auction!
