102B Suzanne Cowden -- Underwater Sea

I took a class from Ruth Droll, at Sew Contempo. This is Ruth's pattern. We learned her techniques like needle lace, bobbin work & all kinds of threads. This was not done with an embroidery machine, as I do not own one. We used different sizes of satin stitches.

102D Margaret Horton -- Blue Coral Reef

Adapted Susan Carlson's Fish pattern into coral reef complete with other tropical fish, octopus, seahorse and plant life. Embellished with other different metallic threads and cordings and quilted over net & chiffon over fabric fish etc.

I designed this quilt using Susan Carlson's technique.
The quilting was quite creative and exciting to do.
