Appliqued quilt or wall hanging (less than twin size). Judged.
58 x 58 inches. Hand quilted, Hand appliqued, Machine pieced. 2001.

This was a block of the month. I worked on it in late 1999, all of 2000, and finished it in January 2001. I was making it for my mom who loved red. She watched me work on it many nights. I had almost finished the applique when she passed away in May 2000. I finished the quilting in the months after that.
