This is my first large quilt which I pieced over the summer. I've been quilting since the age of 10 and unlike most Quilters who learn from their mothers or grandmothers it was I that got my mother into this art. Together we have made several small quilts but this quilt I pieced entirely by myself. I even wanted to machine quilt it myself but soon learned it was to large to fit in my machine. Therefore for my birthday gift my mother sent this quilt to Ms. Melba who beautifully quilted it. Machine quilted by Melba Drennan.
