Spring Retreat!!

It is time again for Spring Retreat which is held at The Victorian on Galveston Island.  Registration forms are in the newsletter.

This is a go-and-sew retreat: set up your sewing machine or bring appliqué or other handwork, and enjoy time with fellow quilters. Start a new project or finish a UFO. This is, more than anything, a great time to have fun with old friends, make new friends, do some real power-sewing done, and make super memories.

For questions, email the Spring Retreat team.

Workshop:  Gyleen Fitzgerald, "Quilt of the Century"  Remember the bathroom tile floor of the 60's made with little squares and octagons? You got the picture. This quilt uses just two simple shapes to make an old fashion favorite. It's called “Quilt of the Century“ or “Melon Patch“ but I call it pure fun for fabric collectors. Make a wall hanging or lap quilt, the choice is yours. All you need is 6½" squares and one accent fabric. Learn how to do a “double” Butterfly Seam to set-in squares quickly and accurately.
